Sometimes we end up with scrap sections that are beautiful but don’t really match other woods that we have. Even with in the same species individual specimens are unique and special since we try to hunt out special boards with loads of character. Well rather than toss sections out that match nothing else we have found on earth; we make stuff out of them mixing woods together and highlighting the contrasts between species. Dice Box – $50.00 This is an entirely new adventure for us. We had a standard dice brick pop open in a bag spilling dice all over. Everyone has heard the sound of dice falling and the universal grown / laugh that comes from knowing someone now needs to pick up a pile of bouncy dice. So we used some scrap sections of Spalted Tamarind (top), Red Nara (side), Zebrawood (snap side), Morado (side), Bolivian Rosewood (snap side), and BubingaBubinga (bottom) to make a box with all of the style characteristics of a Pezui quality deck box in a miniature size for dice. It has been universally praised for design and style so likely we will be adding this size to our deck box sizes soon.
