Chechen (Black Poisonwood)

Dense, Heavy, Beautiful and Deadly, This wood has it all. The name poison wood comes from the attributes of the tree since its sap is highly toxic and causes severe skin reactions similar to poison ivy. The luster of Poisonwood makes it visually similar to Rosewood without all of the guilt and problems of an unsustainable harvest practice. Poisonwood is an obvious choice for an infect deck but has the class and high poise styling to be acceptable on any complex deck.

Poisonwood is here to stay, much to your opponents chagrin. Not listed in CITES or on the IUCN threatened species, this is a safe, beautiful and gilt free purchase. The cost of materials is a little bit higher than a domestic wood but the visual makes up for it.
