Bocote

Bocote is a wonderfully random wood that has very unique patterning of Orange/Yellow that is masked by black streaks and circular patterns. There is no other wood that could be confused with Bocote as it stands out as the odd duckling looking almost like oil spilled over a painting, yet being gorgeous at the same time. We make many deck dividers out of Bocote as an excellent option to pair against some of our Zebrawood, Ziricote, and Kalatox deck boxes that would be cost prohibitive to produce as a deck divider.

This wood is not listed on the CITES appendices or the IUCN threatened species list which is absolutely wonderful news. The trees are fairly small though so we cannot manufacture single piece large deck boxes; and due to the patterning this isn’t something that looks good in a glue-up style so likely we will max out at Tournament Custom size. Hey Nature picked that maximum not us so lets roll with it and have something awesome to appreciate.
