North American Black Walnut has a wonderful chocolate brown appearance with lighter colored straight grains. This is a fairly dense domestic hard wood which buffs up very well. Walnut is a wonderful wood to work with and makes for a very smooth surface when the edges are slightly rounded, though also has positive finish notes when hard squared.
North American Black Walnut is not listed on either the CITES or IUCN Threatened Species which is great news for this beautiful wood.
