Black Limba is a very cool wood with high chatoyancy that shifts as you move it in the light. These boxes are pale yellow to golden in color depending upon the light shift at the top and then have a streaked pattern that becomes black at the bottom. This wood has all of the attributes of an amazing abstract painting while being an original work of mother nature. While Limba is an avalaible wood, getting this type of Black Limba that shifts like this was very special and unique and we will only ever be able to produce 4 of these boxes. Normally Limba has a brown to black tint, the golden/Yellow to deep blck shift is very uncommon. The wood finishes very smooth to the touch, and you will want to touch this one while shifting it back and forth in the light, it screams special.
No types of Limba are not listed on the CITES appendices or the IUCN threated species list, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a limited edition especially looking like this.
